This was the response of a 110 year old man when asked his secret for living so long.
Good answer.
Today I was thinking, “Oh, I just wish the sun would come out and I would have more mojo!!!”
And then I remembered this. “When it rains, I let it.”
What if I just embraced the weather as it is and do the things that this kind of weather invokes?
After writing this blog, I could make a cup of tea and curl up on the couch and read until my client arrives. I could make some nice warming grains or soup for later. I could listen to some wonderful music. I could let me mind float to ideas for future work projects. I could take a nice long nap this afternoon……….
If it were a sunny day, I would not want to do any of those things!!
How often do I push against what is? I am aware of this concept as I teach it in my Beliefs Class and I trust the flow of life much more than I used to. But this morning was another good reminder of “When it rains, let it”.
Where do you find yourself pushing, arguing with “what is”?
This week create an intention to notice and shift as quickly as possible. There is always a gift (or many) in what is. Our challenge/lesson is to find them. Some are easy and some make us dig very deep.
That is the path of consciousness and spirituality.
Let me know your thoughts and discoveries!
Much love as I myself dial down what I thought was on my agenda today!! melaniej
