Hello again:) The workshop on Valentine’s Day “Exploring the Mysteries of the Heart” was a great success! I put a lot of mindful attention into weaving a lot of different material together and I felt my intentions were accomplished. I had two main intentions: to create a safe, heart opening space and experience for that evening AND to give people thoughts and material that could lead into more heart connecting conversation AFTER the workshop. From the feed back that I received my intentions were met!
I am developing an aspect of my work that takes us directly into the energy of our hearts. It is such a beautiful space to be in. I feel so lucky to be able to witness the love that begins to flow as we work within this energy. It was palpable at the class on Sunday:)
A writing exercise that we did was “something that I want to experience in love is……..” You set a timer for 2 minutes and then just write non stop for two minutes and see what spills out onto the paper. This is not a THINKING exercise but an ALLOWING exercise. You just put down on the paper what pops into your mind……no deleting, no censoring, no editing. You may be surprised at some of the things that show up!
After this information has bubbled up and out of you, take a closer look and see what is manifesting in your life now and what is not. This will give you a greater clue at why you may not be feeling satisfied in your love relationships. Once you get a clue of something you need to feel greater satisfaction, you can be creative at how to bring that into your life. Perhaps it is something you can easily fulfill for yourself, perhaps there is a loving request needed from a friend or partner……..perhaps you need to love the question until the answer reveals itself.
So in honor of this month of love (and hopefully every month is a month of love) try this exercise. See if you can learn something about yourself. If you have a partner maybe they would join you and you could then share your lists. It could lead to greater understanding and intimacy……enjoy the love! Melanie
