Winter has finally showed herself!! I am grateful for my warm cozy home and my amazing fireplace!!!
Resistance. I know what that feels like. Do you? It is such a yucky feeling and I know that it is from a frightened, insecure place within myself. It is a place where I want things to be the way I want them to be. It is a place where I don’t want to accept what is being revealed to me in the moment. It is a place where I want to control the outcome………. It will never take me forward into a more joyful, harmonious life but will keep me stuck in this tight feeling. In fact the very thing I am resisting may have a clue as to what the next puzzle piece is my life. If I resist it, I stay stuck longer.
Accept what is. Sounds so simple but in reality it is so difficult for us.
It is said that there are only two real emotions. Fear and Love. All emotions will fit under one category or the other. Resistance has fear written all over it.
We resist getting to bed at a good hour, we resist getting up and so we end up rushing, we resist sharing information, we resist getting the help we know we need, we resist letting go of something we know isn’t good for us, we resist people helping us (even though we need help). We resist changing jobs (even though we are unhappy in the current one. We resist so much of what unfolds in front of us each day. We resist WHAT IS.
If someone encourages us to try something out of our comfort zone, we get afraid, controlling and defensive. Even though we think we want to move forward we are blinded by our fear and we resist the opportunity.
Our resistance keeps us in self sabotage.
The less we resist the less there is to resist. Someone offers us a compliment, we take it. (We may notice the uncomfortable feelings inside and we breathe through them.) A business deal does not turn out the way we wanted it to. We can wail against the injustice of it or we can accept what is and ask ourselves how we will do it next time. Or we can trust that something even BETTER is on its way to us.
When we resist, we put out a defensive vibe. That is not a warm, fuzzy feeling or vibration so we will not be magnetic to the very thing we want. When we are curious, soft, open, willing to try something new or see something from another perspective? That is magnetic.
I created a meditation to go inside to help you understand why you are doing this. Once we gain greater understanding we can begin to gradually do the work to release this road block in our life.
I hope you find it helpful! Let me know what you discover…………melaniej
