This will finish up our exploration of the heart chakra……each of these centers take a life time of exploration but this is a good beginning.
We have spoken of unconditional love and the art of forgiveness. Today we will conclude this conversation with expressing our selves through the energy of the heart and gratitude.
As you sit quietly in your morning meditation, bring your attention to your heart center. You may bring your right hand to rest on your heart and cover that with your left hand. Sit quietly and breathe. Allow yourself to drop deeper into the stillness and depth of the heart…….take some time. Use your breath to lead you into this silence….
Begin to think of someone that you love. Let that feeling grow. Think of all the ways that you love them and how they brighten your life. Notice how your heart softens and expands. Let yourself sit with that for a few breaths. Now think of another person or experience that you love and repeat this……finally think of one more person, place or experience that expands your life and heart and repeat this process.
Now just let yourself sit as these lovely feelings flow through your body. You will feel light and joyful.
Think of an area of your life where you need healing and allow this energy to flow there……..take your time
Think of someone that you love deeply and silently express your love and gratitude for them and let it flow to them. …….take your time
Think of someone that you feel neutral about and send these blessings of love and light to them…..
Finally, think of someone that you are challenged by and send these blessings of love and light to them……if it is too much to express love to this person, you may just send light and healing……take your time.
When you feel this is complete, bring your attention to your day. Think of the day and the people that you will encounter this day. Known and unknown……….send love to your day that you may approach your day from a place of openness and love.
Bring your attention back to your low belly and breathe there. When you feel you are complete, begin to bring your awareness back into your physical body. Take 3 long inhales and exhales. When you are ready open your eyes.
