Today I want to talk to you about “asking the right questions”. We often hear that “everything begins with a thought”. But is there an even GREATER truth in that “everything begins with a QUESTION”???
Denise Linn talks about posing “noble questions”. Questions that will bring us deeper insights, greater awareness, inpired actions.
We often cloak our questions to Life in anxiety, urgency, desperation………”How is this EVER going to work out??” “When is it EVER going to be MY turn?” “How could I EVER do this?” “WHY does this keep HAPPENING to me?” “What is WRONG with me?” “Why can’t I ever figure this out?”
The problem with these types of questions is the type of answers that they inspire. Several weeks ago I wrote a blog on “What am I googling?” When we ask a question, our sub-conscious mind, like the google search engine, will get busy and pull up everything to answer that question. It takes it literally. When we pose a question in fear, desperation, urgency or anxiety it will bring in an answer to match that tone.
A noble question is inspiring. Just the question makes us feel better. Ms. Linn suggests that rather than asking “Why did this happen to me?” (which is steeped in victim mentality and powerlessness” you would ask “What value can I get out of this situation?” IMMEDIATELY the sub-conscious mind will leap into action and find answers to this question that will be empowering and uplifting.
The question of “How is this ever going to work out?” would evolve into “How can I experience even more success and ease in my life?”
The question of “When is it EVER going to be my turn for ……..?” evolves into “How can I come into even greater trust in Divine Timing?”
Notice the type of self-defeating questions you pose and send off into the ethers. Think how you can uplevel them to enjoy a greater return in your investment. It may take a little practice but this is the path of consciousness. Notice what you are doing. See what works and doesn’t work. You can do even more of that which is working and make a brand new CONSCIOUS choice for that which has not been working.
Let me know how this change of questioning feels to you! Great blessings on a stunning evening! Melanie

Excellent article. The challenge is to practice, practice, practice till we can get new paths in our thinking patterns. Perhaps you have an article in you on specific practices to do that!
