EFT and REIKI have been the 2 most powerful techniques that I have worked with. I took my first Reiki class in 1995 and it has been with me ever since! Reiki FEELS magical as it “hooks us up” to universal energy and shows us how to work with it. Reiki helps us to develop the awareness to feel our own energy and the energy of those around us. Working with energy is the future. Energy is everything and to not know how to work with it, leaves a huge whole in what is possible.

I have been using the phrase, “tend to myself” in the last few months. It has a gentle feel to it and when it comes to caring for ourselves we need some gentleness. It also is about paying attention to oneself. I am paying attention to myself with greater detail and with greater compassion and gentleness………I am tending to myself.

All of life breathes. From the largest animal to the smallest amoeba. There is a pulse that expands and contracts, expands and contracts, expands and contracts.

I would guess that you are reading this becauseyou are interested in self growth. Self help books and movements took a lot of flack when they first started coming out but that didn’t stop us from reading them. And read them we did!. The human spirit was ready. Ready and hungry for deeper connection ……with self, others and the Divine and the “self help revolution” was born!

I love Ruiz’s take on this as it holds us to be responsible for our work and how we show up BUT it also takes into account that we are not the SAME everyday…….or even moment to moment. It honors our own personal energetic flow moment by moment. My “best” when I am “well- fed and rested” (thank you for that mantra, Mona:) looks very different from when I am sleep deprived and anxious.
